Brett began playing golf at age 11 and after winning numerous junior tournaments, championships and achieving representative selection he commenced his traineeship to become a golf professional in 1979 at Cumberland Golf Club.
After a successful 3 years as an apprentice Brett became a full member of the Australian PGA in January 1982
Brett had success playing Pro-Ams and tournaments over the next 3 years before applying for and succeeding in becoming the Head Golf Professional at Inverell Golf Club in North West NSW. He put into place a hugely successful junior scheme while there with a number of the children that came through are now themselves members of the Australian PGA. Brett continued playing and coaching earning a reputation as a friendly, well organised and popular club professional servicing the North West to townships like Bingara, Warialda, Ashford, Delungra & Glen Innes.
He then was appointed as Head Club Professional at Antill Park Country Golf Club in March 1988.Over the past 27 years he has been part of the growth that has seen Antill Park become the club it is today by bringing through many players of all abilities. His passion is to assist junior players realising and reaching their potential and he is quick to point out to aspiring youngsters that to play golf successfully patience is needed as well as building a consistent swing that can be trusted under pressure.
Brett is proud to see two of his former students, Gavin Meredith and Rebecca Blain, have come through his junior program to now both being fully qualified professionals. “To work side by side with these great golf coaches is very humbling. And, to think I have played a part in their development and that now together we all can assist players of all ages with their golfing needs is to me so special.” Over 26 year plus career Brett's passion for local charities has seen him and his wife Nichola raise in excess of $400,000 for local charities by way on his annual golf day fundraiser whilst their son Luke attended Mater Dei school at Camden.
Brett's highlight in recent years was to be present on the final round at Augusta National to witness Adam Scott finally break through to be the first Aussie to don the green jacket in US Masters history. On the same tour of the USA he played Pinehurst No. 2 with some “golf-loving tragics” from Antill Park …both unforgettable memories.

Rebecca started playing golf at 12 years of age Antill Park by participating in a junior holiday clinic and from age 13 she played every Saturday with the ladies and went on to represent the club in Pennants. Rebecca loved her golf and started competing winning various club, local and state events.
In 2006 Rebecca was offered a scholarship to the New South Wales Golf Club to represent them in Division 1 pennant and continued to do so for 5 years.
In 2007 Rebecca was offered a full scholarship to the New South Wales Institute of Sport. Over the next three years Rebecca worked hard on her game. Utilising the New South Wales Institute of Sport’s facilities and staff Rebecca was provided everything she needed to become a better golfer: Professionally structured strength & conditioning program, A golf specific physiotherapy program, Education and working on the mental aspects of golf with their sport psychologists, This experience has allowed Rebecca to understand the fine details of athlete development and preparation. She travelled competing in state and national events and remained competitive winning four times and consequently was selected to represent NSW in the Australian Interstate Team Series, where back to back, NSW won.
In 2010 Rebecca decided to pursue a career into the golf industry and applied to the PGA of Australia to start her PGA Traineeship. Rebecca was accepted and commenced her traineeship at Antill Park Golf Club under Brett Chappell Rebecca’s ability and dedication to her traineeship bought distinctions: She was elected by her peers to sit on the PGA Trainee committee and initiated the inaugural PGA Trainee match at Antill Park, Rebecca was awarded the Titleist FootJoy Excellence in Education Award for her studies where Rebecca was Dux nationally and in 2011 Rebecca was awarded the prestigious NSW/ACT Trainee of the Year Award being the first female in the history of the PGA to do so.
After Rebecca’s traineeship she decided to gain practical experience in the ladies game by accepting a role caddying on the LPGA in America. Rebecca spent two years caddying for various players on the LPGA across America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Europe Rebecca witnessed ladies golf at the highest level, living and breathing it on a daily basis – this invaluable experience has given Rebecca many insights into what happens live ‘on tour’ and behind the scenes in Ladies Professional Golf … the coaching, the physical training, the mental training, injury prevention & rehabilitation, nutrition, rest and practice routines.
Rebecca has now been a professional for 5 years and has returned to Antill Park and has advanced coaching status with the Australian PGA Rebecca doesn’t believe in a one size fits all approach to coaching and therefore enjoys tailoring the lesson or program to the client’s needs and goals while keeping it fun! Rebecca’s insight into the tour life has enabled Rebecca to be proficient in course management and strategy. Rebecca has been exposed to high level preparation, competition and coaching and is keen to help all students of golf – children, teenagers and adults … whatever their level or ability
